PRIVACY POLICY.

Last updated on 01/24/2024

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the controls you have over your personal information when you use Improvifi's platform, websites, and services.

1. Who We Are

Improvifi, Inc. ("Improvifi," "we," "us," or "our") provides a technology platform that connects home-improvement contractors with a network of third-party lenders, payment processors, and service partners. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information for visitors to our websites and customers of our platform.

This policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, request a demo, submit a form, or communicate with our team. This may include:

  • Contact details (name, business name, email, phone, mailing address).
  • Account credentials and authentication factors.
  • Business profile (industry, role, company size, service areas).
  • Billing information (processed by our payment provider, not stored by Improvifi).
  • Content you upload (proposal documents, project photos, customer files).
  • Communications you send to our support, sales, or success teams.

2.2 Information About Consumers You Submit

When you submit a financing application on behalf of a homeowner, we process the information necessary to route the application to the appropriate lender(s), including the consumer's name, contact details, project information, and financial data they have authorized you to share. You are responsible for obtaining all required consents from the consumer before submitting their information.

2.3 Information We Collect Automatically

  • Device and browser data (type, OS, screen resolution, language).
  • Usage data (pages viewed, features used, timestamps, referring URL).
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
  • Route financing applications to the appropriate lender(s) in our network.
  • Authenticate users and protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Process payments and manage billing.
  • Communicate with you about the Services, including updates and security notices.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Improve and develop new features, with aggregated and de-identified analytics.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only as described below:

  • Lender network partners — to route financing applications you submit on behalf of consumers.
  • Service providers — vendors that help us run the Services (hosting, analytics, email, payments, customer support) under written contracts that limit their use of the information.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights, property, and safety.
  • With your direction — when you instruct us to share information with a third party (for example, an integrated CRM).

5. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@improvifi.com. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

You can also update your account information at any time from your settings, opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message, and control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, so we encourage you to use a strong unique password and to enable multi-factor authentication on your account.

7. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure performance, and improve the Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may impact functionality.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it so it can no longer be associated with an individual.

9. International Transfers

Improvifi is based in the United States, and personal information we collect is processed in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the US, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data-protection rules than your own.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Services or by email at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
